Named Rango, this village sits on the Bleggio plateau in Trentino Alto Adige and is preparing to welcome thousands of visitors with the 15th edition of its traditional Christmas Market. With its quaint Italian appearance, with winding alleys and hallways that lead to impressive courtyards and squares, Rango managed to attract 100,000 visitors last year.

Located on the Bleggio plateau, those familiar with Rango cite its Christmas Market as one of the main reasons to travel here for the winter holidays. Each year there are many unique features presented for visitors to marvel at. This year, the Rango Christmas Market began November 19th and will continue until December 30th.

Among the novel features on display, there will be a reproduction of the village of Rango in miniature form, an extraordinary work by Aldo Grott that took three years to create. Furthermore, at the centre of the market, inside the old farmhouses, there will be a selection of local Italian food, catering and crafts from the Abruzzo region.

“It is a market that recalls the identity and culture of the place, set within the village and not built artificially” commented the provincial councillor, Michele Dallapiccola.
